IS 1161 ERW Pipe is electric resistant welded carbon steel pipe that has carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur and silicon in the composition. there are different grades in the specification such as IS 1161 YST 210 / 310 / 355 Pipes each denoted by the minimum yield strength of the pipes respectively as 210MPa, 310MPa and 355MPa. The pipes range in diameters differently for seamless and welded pipes and for tubes. The IS 1161 Carbon Steel Tubes range from 3.35mm to 101.6mm for seamless tubes and up to 152mm for welded tubes. The diameter of the seamless pipes range from 4mm to 219mm and the welded pipes range from 5mm to 1219.2mm. The IS 1161 YST 22 also come in wall thicknesses ranging from 0.5mm to 20mm and schedules ranging from sch20 through XXS and heavier pipes. The IS 1161 Grade YST 210 Seamless Pipes have less absolute roughness and are accurate in dimensions. These can be used in the equipment, tools, instruments and dimensionally sensitive applications. The IS 1161 YST 355 pipes come with plain ends, beveled ends and coupling end tryps. The tubes and pipes can be round, rectangular or hydraulic. The IS 1161 YST 210 Welded Pipes do not require preheating before welding. They also do not require post weld heat treatment.
